Fozia Parveen
Fozia offers a blend of social value experience that encompasses both blue chip corporate management and grass roots delivery. For over 25 years, Fozia has supported numerous organisations with their corporate social responsibility initiatives, including JLL, Canary Wharf Group and British Land, plus several London Housing Authorities.
Passionate about exploring the next generation of social value measures, Fozia is a member of the National Social Value Taskforce dedicated to sharing best practice nationally. She is also part of the Central Government TOMs plug in working group with the Social Value Portal.
In addition, Fozia was a key member of the Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability Apprenticeship (CRSA) Trailblazer working group, to develop the UK’s first apprenticeship in this field. This apprenticeship is now approved and Fozia’s support continues via the ‘Employer Review Group’.
ISG is dedicated to the legacy of the places it builds and the communities it builds them in. Fozia and her team want to deliver a real difference to people’s lives, and by using Appreciative Enquiry techniques, they engage and consult the community in which a project is based, involving them in setting social value objectives and targets based on local needs at that time.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, ISG has seen an increase in demand for support from community partners and clients, and Fozia has led on adapting the approach to continue to deliver valuable social impact. At the core of this support has been advice, equipment and training to empower stakeholders; enabling them to continue to learn new skills, maintain safe work or study places and sustain the delivery of community programmes, to deliver long lasting outcomes.
